A lovely hotel! All the comforts, with lots of charm and character, as well as a great location. The room I stayed in (Eiffel, 5th floor) was quiet and comfortable. The bed was excellent and the room had a good-sized bathroom (nice towels and soaps) and a fabulous little kitchenette that included a microwave, stovetop, fridge, sink and ... wait for it... a miniature dishwasher (didn't use it mind you -- the housekeeping staff washed my dishes and put them away every day). There is a late-night convenience store around the corner and a good grocery store a half a block down the street, making it easy to save a few Euros by doing breakfast and snacks in the room. The only thing missing -- oddly enough -- was a coffee maker (gave me an excuse to get out in the morning and try one of the many cafés in the area). The hotel staff were helpful (Lawrence was a stand-out but they were all good) and the restaurant was casual chic -- good food, good service, and modern décor. I was a single woman travelling alone and felt completely at ease the entire time.
The hotel is just steps from the Metro, with easy connections to everything. The neighbourhood is a perfect balance of quiet and trendy. I stopped in at the little bistro next door (11eme Art) at midnight, alone, to listen to the live music and felt completely safe, comfortable and welcome.
Would highly recommend this hotel for business or personal travel. They have very good meeting facilities as well and offered excellent lunches to a number of groups at the same time -- all very efficient and nicely done.
