Really lovely room with view over the patio/garden and the roof tops. Most importantly it was quiet and the black out curtains were really black out curtains! The reception staff were helpful, efficient and friendly. Wonderful location, walking distance to the centre of le Marais, left bank etc., metro right outside, bit of night life going on in the area (but not noisy)... great stay!

I selected this hotel based on the reviews on TripAdvisor....don't be fooled. If all you are expecting is a clean room, then this is fine, but if you're looking for any of the extra amenities a 4-star hotel should have...this isn't it. We flew in and tried to check-in at 1pm (yes, 2 hours before 3pm check-in). Of course, they didn't have a room. That was fine, so we hit Paris for the day. When we came back at 9pm that night, we were asked if we could walk up stairs...must have been the worst tower they had because the elevator was out, the lights were out in the hallway and construction was going on in some of the rooms. Did I mention they gave us the smallest room on the entire floor? The room was fine...it was clean. We usually only use rooms for crash pads, and this served it's purpose, but on our last day, we stopped by the front desk and asked for a wake-up call (because our phone didn't work). Did it come? No...thank god we woke up. Upon check-out, they tried to say we had items from the mini-bar, which we didn't even know there was one...they did waive those charges. Overall...don't be wowed.

Nice hotel, all comfort and amenities as expected fo this hotel class. Beds very very comfortable and rooms very quiet as they all look onto an internal courtyard...Architect design for the restaurant where we had dinner and were not disapointed, if for the wine list (a bit thin, vintages not noted on the list...). Place must be a treat during sunny and warmer weather and location is great for theatre, bars with lots of places to eat and drink in the area. Good buffet breakfast, although could suggest alternative in addition to self service filter coffee.

I have stayed with family and overall our stay went smoothly. we did not eat or drink at the hotel because we had sneak look at the prices in the menuit was not hard to decide to dine outside. The hotel is located in a proximity to the metro but a long way from central paris. The hotel is situated in back street so easy to miss.
Honestly our experience was a pleasant one at Les jardins de Marais; the room was big enough for the four us however the bathroom was a squeeze.
