The location is great the front desk staff, poor attitude, lazy, rude and very unhelpful. There is noise from pub below as drunken folk spill out when they close and start yelling and singing.

I am definitely biased about the location. I lived nearby when spending three wonderful years in Paris. Now trying to be fair: you could not be wrong there, everything is close from the Louvre to Deux Magots, from the antiquarian bookshps, to the art galleries in Rue de Seine, the boul'miche, the Jardin du Luxembourg, the list is endless
The hotel itself is good, rooms come at different sizes and the "a bit larger" ones are very good. Reasonably clean and comfortable. The hotel is actually two hotels and they may accommodate you on one or the other side of the "Rue Git le Coeur". I regularly go to this hotel when going go Paris (three, four time a year, wish it was more often). Highly recommended.
We stayed here for two nights and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is beautiful, staff was very friendly and helpful and the location is spectacular. The neighborhood is full of great cafes and bistros, and it is an easy walk to the Louvre and Notre Dame. I would recommend it to anyone.
I would not recommend this hotel. The price is really high, they give you nothing, there is no service at all, only one single person, that does everything (check in ant check out, she can´t do much more), the rooms are tiny, the bathroom is horrible, although it is located in the heart of the latin quarter, at night you cannot sleep for the noises outside (and I stayed a tuesday and wensday, on weekends the noise is far worse), it seems that walls and windows are made out of paper, and when you complain, she answers that you should wear ear pulgs! a hotel souldn´t be like this! I`d rather have another location and take a taxi if you want to go to the latin quarter...
Choosing an Hotel in Paris is not easy as there are so many to pick from, so we started by looking at the area that would suit as best and then used Tripadvisor to sort through the dozens available. This hotel fit the bill perfectly. very well positioned, good sized room by Paris standards and very well appointed. The staff were very helpful at all times and the room was very clean and the bed comfortable. There are dozens of great eating places close by and easy walking to many of the major attractions such as Notre Dame + The Louvre (which by the way is not open on a Tuesday, the only day we had free to see it!)
There is an Irish theme pub right opposite that we were a bit worried about in regard to noise but we ahd no trouble at all in fact we did not ven notice it from our room. Highly reccommended!
