Tucked away from the main Place de Tetre and Sacre Coeur on the top of Montmartre hill, but well worth a visit. Historic associations with the post impressionists working and living in the area in the late 19th C, with a great view of the last vineyard in Paris. Has a great history of the area which was predominantly industrial until the late 1800's. Has amassed a great collection of the more minor post impressionists, but the quality of work is no less valid or interesting. Having a major refurb in late 2011 and early 2012. If you want a nice tranquil place to visit, this is it.
