This is a really lovely little hotel, and if we get a chance to return to Paris we will certainly stay here again! Our room was a modest size, but very comfortable and charming with its French floral decor. There is a wonderful cobblestoned courtyard with tables and chairs perfect for relaxing and enjoying a glass of wine. It's situated in a quiet section of the Latin Quarter, a ten minute walk from the Luxembourg Gardens, with many shops, restaurants, and other attractions nearby. The staff was polite and helpful. This is a great place to retreat to after a busy day in Paris!

Great neighborhood for those who are literary buffs. Hotel is across the street from The Hemingways first apartment and a few doors up from one of James Joyce's homes. it is a charming place with warm, helpful management and staff.

I visit Paris once or twice a year for work and always add a day or so on for pleasure. This is where I always stay; it’s my favourite place to stay in Paris. I’ve been to Paris every year for the past 10 years and during this time, have tried many hotels and stopped when I found Hotel Grandes Ecoles
I will be back again in May and would never stay anywhere else now I found this little bit of French Paradise in Paris! I’ve suggested this hotel/ B & B to everyone I know who is visiting Paris. Its like your own little home in Paris, you don’t feel as though you are staying in a hotel.
The property is gated, once you enter you walk onto the gorgeous cobbled stone entrance way all the way up to the reception, the property has gardens, outside seating area and breakfast room (personally I simply walk out down the road to the local patisserie for breakfast). The rooms are extremely clean ( generally if you stay in a charming hotel, charming is another word for rundown and smelly!) well presented, can be a little small depending what room you get ( however this is the norm in Paris), the rooms have lovely old world decor and oozes charm. The owners are delightful and very helpful. Very close to the Metro, Pantheon and great restaurants is only a minute walk away. I would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone who would like to experience Paris

We stayed at this hotel in early November 2008 and plan to go back next year. We have a room with two twins (#239) and it also fit a third bed for the 4 nights that my son joined us. Marie was lovely and helped with everything we needed. It's a short one-block downhill walk to the Metro (uphill coming back!). Several great small restaurants, bakeries, etc., within a block or so. Our room had both a shower and bathtub combo, making both of us happy. It was a very modern bathroom. There is a lift (elevator) in the building we stayed in. We never got to use the patio area due to the rain, but it would be lovely in better weather. Breakfast was nice, close, and served american-size cups of coffee! The entire place was clean and spotless.
