I was very disappointed with this hotel. It is true, it has an excellent location, right next to a Metro stop and within easy walking distance to the Opera, Comedie Francaise and of course the Louvre.
My husband and I were greeted by friendly staff at the front desk, however we were much more disappointed by the room that we were allocated. It was very small (even for 2 people), old and faced the internal "courtyard" of the hotel. Despite the hotel advertising that it has exceptional views of multiple attractions, both our party and another party we were travelling with had the same type of room. Additionally, there was absolutely no sound cushioning. We could hear every footstep in the hallway outside (including the maid's trolley) and of course, I am sure every person could hear what goes on inside the room too. Good luck if you want to have a romantic weekend away!
The room is so small that we could not even open the wardrobe door to its full extent, and the safe was quite inaccessible at the base of the wardrobe. The mini bar was small and had the remnants of the previous person's chocolate that they had obviously stored in the refrigerator.
The buffet breakfast was included in our stay and this was located in the restaurant. The variety was fine. I was told to find myself a seat upon arrival and had to request coffee three times before, finally at the end of my breakfast, I received it (after asking the person at the front of the restaurant).
We stayed for only 2 nights and honestly, the hotel was not full. I would have thought that they would try and at least allocate rooms in the hotel that had a better view for their guests. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this hotel unless you are prepared to pay high prices for location only.
