My husband and I stayed for a 2nd time dec 2011. We did change our room from the deluxe to the jr. Suite. The staff was ready to help and made our move easy. Be sure if morning noise bothers you to ask for a room facing the gardens. we are returning the beginning of feb 2012. The staff is excellent, the hotel manager great. Try pizza chic on the corner for one of the best pizzas in the world if you desire a salad pizza and wine supper. The hotel is excellentL

This well situated hotel close to the metro and streets with smart boutique shops has understated elegance. The reception staff are professional without being overbearing and the cosy, clean, well furnished lounge gives you a good feeling as soon as you enter. The hand held shower is a dis-advantage in the standard rooms unless you are prepared to upgrade - but for a short trip you can put up with it. The continental breakfast has Paris written all over it and is served in the room any time you want at no extra cost. Michael

This has become my favorite hotel in Paris. I have stayed there 3 times now. The rooms are nicely decorated, and some look over the entrance courtyard (my favorites). The hotel is vey quiet - you will sleep well here. The housekeepers are charming and efficient.

The reception staff are outstanding, and will do everything to help you. Maybe its just my impression but I got the feeling that most of them love their job. They certainly go the extra mile. They booked me restaurants (places I would never have found without them) and endless taxis as I hate the metro even though here are two stops nearby. For me the reception staff make or break a hotel (the haughty and disinterested ladies at the reception at the Conrad Dublin please take note!).

Most of all, I love the downstairs, with cozy lounges and comfortable sofas and armchairs. They do light lunches and snacks all day and they are to die for. I love coming back here after a long day slogging around Paris and sinking into a sofa and ordering a tea or a glass of vin!

The reservation process is impeccable and I have never once found a mistake on my bill despite the numerous drinks and meals I had.

This is one of the nicest small hotels in Paris. It is small, it is not the Ritz or the Plaza Athenee, but it is not mean to be. It is a charming small hotel in Paris, the sort we all dream of finding. The location is vey convenient. The other guests are nice too!

Well done Hotel de l'Abbaye!

Chose this excellent hotel after diligently searching through Michelin and other guides and Trip Advisor. Proved to be all that they recommended: excellent, friendly, polite service, especially at front desk and in breakfast room; beautiful, tasteful decor in both public rooms and bedroom; delightful conservatory overlooking lovely garden for the ample and beautifully fresh breakfast. Hotel set well back off street so that very quiet despite being centrally located in St. Germains de Pres. Museums, Luxemburg Gardens and characterful, individual shops only minutes away.

The only grumble would be about size of room, but in Paris this is probably a common complaint. Some would say it was therefore poor value, but the room was so well appointed, clean and quiet and the other pros so strong that they more than compensated for the expense. We were celebrating a special birthday and for such an occasion, this hotel was superb. We would highly recommend it to others and have been doing so ever since.
