Hotel Edgar Quinet was in a great position, right by the metro, restaurants everywhere, supermarket very close (when going out the door walk to the left, it's only metres away) and the local market is on outside, right outside your door, several times a week.
The place was spotless, the bed was great, there was a safe and hairdrier, (coffee machine on first floor) and our room had a little enclosed courtyard which was pleasant to sit in. No view to the outside at all though. The whole hotel seems to have been recently refurbished.
No lift, airconditioning or fridge and the rooms are tiny. Any large person would have to mention this when booking. Our bathroom had a shower, toilet and tiny basin but you couldn't turn around. I would suggest anyone staying on this street (Edgar Quinet Bvd) takes a rear room as it can be noisy over the street.
Really a great position and the price was right.
