After walking straight off a train, into a cab whose driver could not have been more helpful, we discover this gem in Rue Cadet where we were greeted so warmly and kindly by the manager we just knew we were in the right place. We have a small child whose experience here has been forever imprinted on her memory - her first trip to Paris is marked by warm and sincere people. And what a lovely location-so easy to get around and just a maze of fascination and awe. We are already planning our next trip to ease the mourning of the end of this one. Take your kids here, they will love the staff, the location and the basic comfort. All needs met above expectations.

We stayed in this hotel as a couple in July 2010.

We found the hotel to be a great base to explore Paris. The metro station is a short walk away, and it is also a 10-15min walk from Gare de Nord which is great as we arrived at this station using a Eurostar train from London.

Service was great from all staff. We were given a larger spacious 4-person room as the smaller rooms were full, this was nice as we had a lot of space to relax in.

The kitchen was helpful as there were many local supermarkets and we have a particular diet so did not have to rely on restaurants.

Breakfast was adequate enough and the hotel was a welcome base to return to after long days exploring Paris.

Overall, I would denifinitely return to this hotel.

A tip on exchanging money: don't use the desks in the train station as they offer a very poor rate, there are many small shops on the streets outside the station that offer much better rates e.g. to my memory at the time we were being offered 98c-1euro per £ inside the station, and 1.18-1.20euros per £ outside.

Stayed with my family of four. Decent size suite. Nice to have a small kitchen to warm food and prepare sandwiches. Abundant quality cafes, patisseries, greengrocers, wine and cheese shops on the street and the metro a couple of minutes walk away. Commendable.

If you are looking for somewhere that combines location with quality, spaciousness, excellent staff and practical amenities then look no further. Cosy's Cadet - really made our trip to Paris thoroughly enjoyable, The interior is modern, comfortable and spacious. A lovely wide screen TV and DVD player, a cooker with hot plates but unfortunately no oven. Fantastic shower also. Cannot recommend it highly enough. Great value for an expensive city.
