This is now an aging hotel that is showing all the signs of advanced aging. The only saving grace is the restaurant which produces reasonable quality hotel food with a hint of international emphasis which pleases to a degree. The rooms are particularly showing signs of age, with stained and worn carpets, scuffed walls and electrcal fittings that are unsafe and falling out of the fixtures. All of this comes at a not too cheap price either with rates which are up there and in my opinion not worth it. The hotel is also quite a way out of town which may not be an issue in summer but in cooler/wetter months is or can be. The restaurant is good for a hotel, with an inviting bar and staff. There is a nice wood burning fire in reception and reception staff are professional but not friendly. My company uses this place a lot but next time I will try somewhere else until I hear they have upgraded to place.
