Situated right opposite the citadelle and near the beach and the old town this was an ideal location. Everything about the hotel (apart from the location) was quite acceptable but quite unexceptional. The bedroom was very ordinary the breakfast too, in a very functional looking room. Often breakfast times were restricted because tour groups were using the room and other guests had to wait. However there is certainly nothing wrong with this hotel and there are a lot worse places!

This hotel is well situated and the staff are helpul. But but it is dated and overpriced. We stayed in the attic room and banged our heads many times on the low ceilings so avoid this room if you can.

Overall: average hotel in a good location, wouldn't go to Ajaccio again though (zzzzz)

Pros:
- location is good for Ajaccio (but there's really not much to see there)
- rooms are just average, small, clean enough and old
- service ppl are friendly enough
- free wifi

Cons:
- parking is difficult, we parked at the nearby underground car park (extremely hot inside) and ended up paying 20 euros for 1 night, it's 5 min walk
- hotel is really not good value for money at all, we ended up paying 110 euros for 1 night plus parking (this is much more expensive than mainland France and doesn't include any food)

We chose this hotel because it was in a good location and we managed to find it at a discounted rate on the internet.
I think the location for us was the only positive. When we opened the door of our room we were greeted with an awful, musty smell so we immediately had to open the window to let some air in. Apart from that the bathroom was clean and we had quite a nice view from our window of the walls of the citadelle.
The staff were polite enough but I wouldn't go as far as to say friendly.
