This family-owned hotel is not in town, so transportation is needed to get into Reims. We were on a tour, so that was not a problem. I would have liked to walk around though on my own. The grounds are pleasant with pretty flowers.
Our hotel room was larger than any others in which we stayed in France and it had lots of storage space. The keyholes in the doors were so close to the door frame that it was a real challenge to put the key in and turn it. They said these will be changed soon.
There is no laundry after early morning on Friday until Monday morning. We had been in Paris and had planned on using this service, but we arrived too late and left too early.
There was a large wall lamp. If it was turned off, the night stand lights went out. That meant one of us could not read in bed without disturbing the other.
The bathroom had no towel racks. There were no wash cloths. The toilet was in a separate room which was really helpful.
There was a safe, but it was not anchored down, so someone could pick it up and remove it easily. The safe did not operate like most safes and the instructions didn't help. We had to have someone show us how to operate it.
The best part of the hotel is the Michelin 2 star restaurant. We had the most fabulous meal ever eaten. Reservations are needed and probably unavailable on Saturday. We ate there on Sunday.
