A lovely boutique hotel right at the end of the Avenue de Champagne furthest from the town centre. An easy 15-20 minute stroll into town, past many famous-name champagne houses.
Normal prices are a bit steep for our taste, but they have great off-season rates, and you get pretty much everything you would expect for the price - mini-bar, safe - though no complimentary bottles of water, and yet again (why do hotels do it??), the bath towels are on the small side (though there were bathrobes). A nice touch was the umbrella in the wardrobe - much better than a free-for-all at reception if the weather turned nasty. Sadly, the breakfast is one of the most expensive we've come across in France and although very good, and a freshly cooked omelette was excellent, it is not value for money.
We didn't sample the bar, but did wonder at the fact that there's no access from the hotel - you have to go outside across the carpark. Not very good in wet weather if all you want is a cosy drink!
The carpark is locked at night, which is a bonus if you have a boot full of champagne!
