Very nice hotel in centre nice bars and town good carpark for cars

Were it not for the wooden floors, it would not have sounded like a herd of african elephants had just found their watering hole on the floor above us. Ear plugs did help somewhat but comfort is something else. And even though the staff were actually quite friendly when we arrived, no one helped us with our bagage, we were asked to come down to get our internet login paper and our checkout couldn't have been colder. These were basically all things we could live with were it not that their prices rival a stay at the Radison in Manhattan, NYC, but they don't even come close to matching the service or anything else for that matter. Not recommended.

We stayed in this hotel for one night on our way to the south of France and one night when returning home. Although the room (2 room suite) is basic, it was a perfect place to sleep in with three small children.
As mentioned before in reviews, the parking area is quite small but not impossible to park in. Both times we were warmly welcomed by the owner to help us park the car. The hotel its self is clean and quite well maintained.
Because we were warned by reviews on this site about noisy rooms, we asked for a room at the back of the hotel.

During the summer time the restaurant was closed for one month (outside summer time also on sundays), but there are many restaurants (and in our case, also a McD for a Happy Meal....) in the near surroundings to serve you dinner.

Having read some previous reports about this hotel I was a bit worried as to how clean it would be and how difficult to prk the car. I need not have worried.
We were greeted at the door and had no difficulty parking my large car, but remember to swing out to the left hand side of the road before turning right into the garage as it is tight.
The whole hotel was spotless and perfectly adequate for a stop-over.
We ate dinner in the restaurant and had the breakfast, both adequate.
It is situated in the town centre so there is somewhere to walk about as the hotel does not have any outside area in which to relax.
