Stayed here for 5 nights in June 07, as a base for exploring the Loire Valley by car. The hotel is to the south of the centre of Tours, and I would recommend approaching it by car from the south if possible - leave the A10 motorway at Junction 22 "Tours-sud" rather than Junction 21 which will take you through the centre of Tours - not a good idea!
There is an underground garage at the hotel for which they charge 10 Euros per night. We didn't use it as there is free parking on adjoining side streets and we did not have any problems finding a space each evening.
The hotel reception staff were pleasant and friendly, and spoke English to those guests who did not have any French. Many of the guests were large groups of people travelling by coach, and the reception area and lifts could be uncomfortably crowded when one or more of these groups was waiting to go off for the day.
Our room was large, spacious and clean, as was the bathroom, and there was very effective air-conditioning.
The breakfast buffet was fine, there was plenty to choose from. There is also a restaurant open in the evenings, although we did not eat at the hotel.
The hotel is a good 15 minute walk from the old town area of Tours, so it is a bit of a trek to go there for an evening meal. However, we found a good fish restaurant about 10 minutes away, straight up Ave Grammont - La Chope, on the left-hand side as you walk towards the old town.
I would recommend this hotel as a base for touring the Loire Valley, as Tours is within 30 miles of many of the main chateaux - Chenonceau, Azay-Le-Rideau and Villandry, for example.
