“Excellent Hotel you must stay here”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 November 2011

Myself and my wife stayed here with our twin sons and neice (all thirteen) this year, We used it to break our journey to and from the South of France. The staff are wonderfully helpful and polite. They chat easily in French or English. The rooms were great. The food was fantastic, one of the best meals we had on our trip. The staff noticed we had been a bit cramped on our first stay so on our return journry arranged for communicating rooms without being asked. Throughout the staff were thoughtful and helpful. Tours is a lovely city you must go there. And if you do you must stay here. Brilliant!

“Make sure refurbishment work is finished”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 December 2010

The location is not central and if you want an evening meal the choice nearby is limited. The reception and a new bar were under construction when we arrived which was not the best way to be welcomed.
Room was basic but adequate. Breakfast was basic with juices, yoghuts, tea coffee etc in a functional room.
If you want an overnight stay which is adequate with no trimmings and no on site restaurant it's okay but don't stay if you want something a bit different. It's a Comfort Inn.

“Only Advantage; Very convenient to Tours Airport”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 June 2010

My Husband, myself and my Father stayed here for one night on 13th June 2010. The only reason we chose this hotel was to be near the airport as we thought our flight was going to be very early the next morning. If you are looking for a modern, well maintained, decent hotel with even a hint of luxury - don't choose this one! Unfortunately, it is the complete opposite. The only positive to this hotel is the fact that it is extremely well located to the airport, about 5 minutes drive away. It cost us €10 by taxi to the airport, if we had realised it was really that close we would have walked!! So remember this if you stay here for this reason. Also upon arriving at this hotel we arrived by taxi, we had to wait almost 45 minutes for a taxi outside the Train Station, this fare cost €20. Again, we later discovered that there are buses running to and from the city centre to this area (Bus Terminal: Croix Rouge, 5 minutes walk from Hotel, No. 2 bus, costs €1.25) so again I would choose to get the bus to go in and out of the city centre. Another thing to point out; we arrived late in the evening and because we didn't realise how easy it would have been to get a bus into the city centre we chose to go to a local 'Buffalo Grill' that is 5 minutes from the Hotel, it styles itself on an American Grill with Steak, Burgers, Chips etc. The food is edible, nothing amazing and the service is excruciatingly slow. I'd recommend it only if you were like us and couldn't be bothered going back into the city centre. Otherwise take the time to go into the city and find somewhere decent. The hotel itself is stuck in an old fashioned groove, it probably hasn't been decorated in years, it looks very tired looking, the rooms reflect the rest of the hotel, tired and worn out but they are clean. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful, in particular a girl called Leila. Something to note in the bedroom regarding the Window; the windows open up by ‘sliding’ them across, but you have to press a button upwards and then slide, this is worth noting because we found the room to be quite warm during the night and didn’t want to use the old fashioned air conditioning units. However, my Father's room was on the other side of the Hallway and he found his room to be very cold, so I'm not sure why that is. The breakfast next morning was adequate but the quality of the food resembles something bought at the local supermarket. Our over night stay equated to €81.98 (incl. Breakfast & Taxes) for a double room. In conclusion, this hotel is really only suitable for an overnight stay if you need to get to the airport very early the next morning or as a pit-stop on the way to a better location.

“OK hotel, nothing special”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 June 2008

We stayed at ths hotel for one night only on our way down to Southern Spain in May. It's difficult to see how this place get's it high rating on this site unless the rest of the hotels in Tours are really that awful! To be fair if you only want an overnight stop and nothing else then it's just about acceptable but overall it's charmless, in the middle of nowhere, not particularly clean and the bathrooms were ancient. On the plus side it was cheap (ish), had easy access to the motorway network without having to go into Tours centre and a secure car park. If it's hot I'd ask for a first floor room as you won't want to leave the ground floor windows open (they're not secure) and you'll never sleep through the noise of the ancient aircon units.

“Ok hotel, slightly outside city centre”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 April 2007

Stayed here for 1 night. Initially had problems finding the hotel due to an incorrect address. Hotel was ok. Rooms are a bit dark. Wasn't many restaurants, etc near the hotel so you will need to head into town. Value was pretty good however. Hotel has plenty of parking, which is locked at night.
