My Husband, myself and my Father stayed here for one night on 13th June 2010. The only reason we chose this hotel was to be near the airport as we thought our flight was going to be very early the next morning. If you are looking for a modern, well maintained, decent hotel with even a hint of luxury - don't choose this one! Unfortunately, it is the complete opposite. The only positive to this hotel is the fact that it is extremely well located to the airport, about 5 minutes drive away. It cost us €10 by taxi to the airport, if we had realised it was really that close we would have walked!! So remember this if you stay here for this reason. Also upon arriving at this hotel we arrived by taxi, we had to wait almost 45 minutes for a taxi outside the Train Station, this fare cost €20. Again, we later discovered that there are buses running to and from the city centre to this area (Bus Terminal: Croix Rouge, 5 minutes walk from Hotel, No. 2 bus, costs €1.25) so again I would choose to get the bus to go in and out of the city centre. Another thing to point out; we arrived late in the evening and because we didn't realise how easy it would have been to get a bus into the city centre we chose to go to a local 'Buffalo Grill' that is 5 minutes from the Hotel, it styles itself on an American Grill with Steak, Burgers, Chips etc. The food is edible, nothing amazing and the service is excruciatingly slow. I'd recommend it only if you were like us and couldn't be bothered going back into the city centre. Otherwise take the time to go into the city and find somewhere decent. The hotel itself is stuck in an old fashioned groove, it probably hasn't been decorated in years, it looks very tired looking, the rooms reflect the rest of the hotel, tired and worn out but they are clean. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful, in particular a girl called Leila. Something to note in the bedroom regarding the Window; the windows open up by ‘sliding’ them across, but you have to press a button upwards and then slide, this is worth noting because we found the room to be quite warm during the night and didn’t want to use the old fashioned air conditioning units. However, my Father's room was on the other side of the Hallway and he found his room to be very cold, so I'm not sure why that is. The breakfast next morning was adequate but the quality of the food resembles something bought at the local supermarket. Our over night stay equated to €81.98 (incl. Breakfast & Taxes) for a double room. In conclusion, this hotel is really only suitable for an overnight stay if you need to get to the airport very early the next morning or as a pit-stop on the way to a better location.
