We are satisfied by staying in your hotel during two days (31.September-2.October).
Unfortunately, my wife forgot in our room her golden wedding ring and the silver cross. In evening 2.October we called in your hotel from Le Mans and asked to find these things in
our former room. Your porter found both the ring and the cross and sent them by express mail to Rennes, where we arrive in two days and received the package 4.Ocxtober. We were very grateful to hotel's staff for their attention, kindness and honesty.

The good news is that this hotel is centrally located, has large comfortable beds, does an OK breakfast buffet, free Wi-Fi for more trip planning and is good value. The staff are very helpful (but if you try to do your bit by speaking in halting French they take no prisoners and respond with language spat out at a machine gun rattle!).

However, there is no air conditioning so if you visit in the summer, you will have to open your window in order to sleep - and many of the rooms overlook a busy street with tram noise, sirens etc.. Ambient temp was 18C when we were there and we were able to sleep with the windows shut, just, but the experience was marginal and I imagine would be quite unpleasant at summer temperatures.

Also if you are traveling by car, you are in for fun. Paraphrasing the receptionist: "if you know how to do it, it's easy; if you don't, it's not". The hotel is difficult to access (in a pedestrianised area accessible through remotely operated barriers). The hotel has no parking so you have to find on street parking in the maze of one-way streets (which actually proved easier than I anticipated).

The package included a free Kir Royale on arrival - very nice (but I can think of nicer places to have a drink than the rather uncharming hotel reception area) and a free packed lunch the next day: factory-sealed ham sandwich, packet of potato crisps, an apple and a bottle of water. Perfectly OK but I can't think when I would eat such a meal in France!

Just came back from our trip in France with visit to Loire Valley. Stayed the 1st night in Orleans. The hotel was very good choice with central location and comfortable rooms that currently were redecorated. We found a free parking in the middle of street called Bulevard Alexandre Martin. It's perpendicular to rue de la Republique so saved ourselves 10 Euros a day on parking. Also when asking for a good place to eat we were recommended a local place about 5 mins walk. Quality hotel gave us discounted voucher for £20 (3 course meal plus glass of vine). Excellent value as the food was brilliant and menu changes every day! Would go back there any time!

We arrived thinking that we had booked, sadly we hadn't (our mistake). Staff quickly discovered our error and gave us two rooms 102 & 103, only problem was the heating in 102 which very hot &we were unable to turn heating down friendly receptionist quickly dealt with & offered another room if they were unable to solve the issue.
