Jean Claude and Moha were terrific hosts, helpful and friendly, a couple of the nicest people we met on our trip to Europe last year. The inn was relatively easy to find, and though rather nondescript from the street, opened out onto the river with a sunny patio. Our room on the third floor looked out on the river. It was quiet, peaceful; one slept with the sound of running water in one's ears. Loches is a pretty medieval town, but the prices are steep for the quality of the restaurants. The breakfast at Logis du Bief, however, was excellent and plentiful, with all the coffee or tea and juice one could drink. Loches is also an excellent pied a terre from which to explore the Loire region.

Loches is beautiful small town in the Loire Valley. We called from the road and booked our stay at Le Logis du Bief. We had a great room, a warm and gracious greeting and a delicious breakfast the next day. We would happily stay there again. Jean Claude and Moha were helpful in guiding us to a great restaurant nearby for dinner.

We had a lovely room, excellent service and would love to return again in the future. Breakfast consisted of eggs, orange juice, home-made joghurt, freshly baked orange cake, croissants and baguette We really liked the home-made quince jam and marmalade, too. Both hosts were very charming and made us feel very welcome. We were given a map of the region and plenty of tips regarding the chateaux to visit in the area. I would recommend this lovely house on the river to anyone looking for a comfortable chambres d´hotes in the Loire Valley, which is well located to visit many of the chateaux.
