We stayed at this hotel whilst driving through france, so it was just a stop off for one night. When we arrived, we had been in the car for over 7 hours, and that was the only reason we stayed really. That's not to say the hotel is bad as such, it's just a bit disappointing when you've seen the nice pictures on the website. The owners of the chateau have clearly sold the garden to build a development of flats, so it's not in a very picturesque setting, despite being on the lake. The rooms have been totally stripped of all character they once had- all have a kitchenette, which didn't quite fit with my idea of what the decor in a chateau might have been like! They have been furnished very cheaply, with 'school' carpet and feel a bit travel lodge-y. Basically, I'd say it's fine for a stop over, but really not somewhere you'd go for any comfort, or any length of time.
