“Comfortable”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 October 2010

My husband and I had already booked and paid a deposit on another hotel in Blois but on arriviing decided we could not stay there. We therefore got on line and booked a stay at the Novotel. We had our own car so parking was easy. The room was large and good for the price. The bathroom was also a good size and had a seperate toilet. The room was quite and overlooked the pool area. They had dinner which was available and breakfast at a price. It appearedf to be a popular hotel for business men and tour groups. It is not ruight near town from a walking point of view.

“Well out of town!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 August 2010

A reasonable hotel for those with families just passing through. It a couple of miles out of Blois, via a tortuous route, so if you want to see the historic town or its restaurants you need to drive in & park (difficult). Its at the back of a housing estate, & not easy to find (for satnav, its in the suburb of Chausee St Victor, not listed under Blois!).. However its got large grounds with an outdoor pool, & a play area for the kids. The feel is a little dated, but the rooms are a good size, clean & comforatable (with bath!). The usual Novotel good breakfasts, free wifi in the rooms, free parking in the grounds. Restaurant serves good food, but the staff are often overwhelmed by large coach parties & service can be very slow. The location of the Mercure in central Blois looks a better bet (but not tried), but at a price.

“Not in Blois”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 August 2010

This hotel was a dissapointment. For a start it is 4k outside Blois, so cost 15 euros in a Taxi.
The decor was very dated and more like a Motel, plus even the non smoking rooms smelled of ciggerette smoke.
The basics were all fine, staff, room size, breakfast etc. However there are much better located hotels for similar prices, IBIS and Holiday Inn to name two large ones we saw.

“Average...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 September 2008

Don't expect any pleasant surprise with this hotel. The rooms are tiny for a family of four and everything look really old.

However, the room was clean, the staff were helpful and the price was reasonnable
