This hotel is long overdue a refurbishment and represents poor value for money. However my greatest concern was the poor customer service received after I complained to reception on the day of departure that a problem with toilet had caused a very disturbed night for both my wife and myself.
The problem was a loud shrieking noise from the toilet valve that could only be stopped by operating the toilet; this occurred six times during the Saturday night.This problem started during the Friday night but only happened once and I ignored it as a "one off".
When I complained I was told it was my fault that I had not said anything on the Saturday morning and the complaint was dismissed. At no time did the hotel attempt to placate my concerns and simply left me feeling very disgruntled and resolved to never stay at a Novotel again. I have since completed a review request from the hotel, in which these concerns were raised but to date I have not been afforded the courtesy of a reply.
