We spent 4 very enjoyable days in La Tonnelerie in August. The place is charming, the inner court, where the restaurant tables are, is lovely. Very friendly staff and owner, the place is quiet and calm. The restaurant is excellent and simple. Too bad we could not enjoy the swimming pool because or bad weather. We had a wonderful pause, out of the hectic world, in la Tonnelerie.

The hotel is quaint but over priced. The food is average. The staff are very friendly. Parking is slightly difficult. We enjoyed our stay but the hotel is expensive for what you get. A nuclear power plant is a few miles away which may or may not bother you. If I paid 30 euros less, I probably would have been happy

Great welcome, nice room, adequate food (but Madame will book a Michelin Star restaurant in Blois if required) and the price is right.

As previous reviewers have indicated, this inn is in a somewhat rural setting near the most-interesting town of Beaugency. The hotel itself is warm and comfortable with a staff that is most helpful and friendly. Rooms are well appointed and spacious as are the baths. Beds are comfortable and baths are functional. Common areas like the beautiful courtyard are well appointed and cared for as is the dining area and sitting rooms, all with French Country decor and filled with beautiful art work. A group dinner function and our breakfasts were good. Otherwise we ate in the Loire Valley area or at one of Beraugency's many excellent available choices for dining. This is a great spot to stay on a visit to the Loire Valley area.
