I do not know how this hotel got its 3 stars.. I know that in France, attention to detail and prettiness have no role to play, it is down to room sizes and facilities. Which is why I am puzzled. The room we had was clean, brightly decorated in tones of orange, pink and red, but was absolutely tiny. There was room for the bed (135c or 4'5" wide), two small bedside tables and a tiny wardrobe and that was it. There was no lift although there were three floors to the hotel (I thought this was a requirement for 3 star). Soundproofing between rooms was poor and I knew when my neighbours were using the bathroom as the water cascaded noisily behind a panel in my WC. The bathroom was also on the small side, with basin and shower in one room and WC separate. The stairs had been renovated in a kind of marble, but this acted like an accoustic funnel, focusing all the noise from the lobby upwards. Facilities are limited. There is no dining room, no minibar (they suggest that the minibar is available from reception.....????I thought that was called the bar), no fan or airconditioning (although there was a slim wall heater), no garden, no pool, no coffee or tea making facilities, in fact, nothing at all to differentiate it from a good two star hotel. Which is what it should be. It is central, although on a main road. It is reasonably brightly decorated and clean. The staff is welcoming and helpful but with a rack rate of €90 a night for that tiny tiny room, I can't recommend it as good value.
