We stayed at the Tour D'Auxois hotel with friends and upon arrival we get informed by a very grumpy man that the swimming pool is shut! Just like that with no explanation and no amicable gesture to offer us breakfast or a drink. The hotel is very pretty and well located but the people running it are so unfriendly I could not wait to get out of there.
They even made a mistake on the bill and tried to make it out as if it where my fault in a terribly unfriendly manner. Will never go back

At first,it looked so nice and "french" cozy.Not everyone at the desk spoke english,or any other language.We came over an travel-agency, they were checking about the payment, and then the sentence came "Do you know what this hotel costs per night? It's not a cheap hotel!" in a very stuck-up way. I guess we and our dog didn't look fancy enough so we were treated bit from the above, and I thought that was so rude. The room and the bath were extremely small, but looked nice. Our room had a view into their nice backyard, but in the evening when people were dining there, it was too noisy. Internet only in the lobby. Free public parking aside the hotel, you need some effort to drag your bags up the stairs to it. Breakfast was not very much,if you want something you always have to ask, and I didn't feel comfortable doing that. I wouldn't go back there, cause they are not easy-going, and I always had the impression that they acted as they were a high-class fancy hotel. but definately not.

No air conditioning system in the room (had to be fixed).
A terrible heat in the room at the 2nd floor...
No buffet breakfast for 13 euros !! only a continental breakfast (for such a price !!)
But ideally located just in front ot fhe famous "La Côte d'Or" restaurant of Bernard Loiseau.
A lot of charm and comfort in the room.
