The French rating system of stars, which is usually pretty good, gives this hotel three stars. Definitely not!
This is a once-comfortable hotel with some reputation, located in the very attractive center of town, close to all its architectural landmarks.
But it has been really neglected, and does not honour its 1940s standing. The mahogany is still there, and the gold valances, but they are scratched or torn; repairs, when they were done, made things worse by being amateurish. Dirty - like, really dirty - carpets, moody light switches, no toilet paper holder in my bathroom, minimal toiletries, minimal desk, and forgettable breakfast.
This is a hotel that is waiting to be bought by a chain and totally refurbished. Until then, avoid.
