“Rooms pleasant, very helpful concierge, central location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 September 2011

We arrived after driving a meandering couple of hundred kilometres through Burgundy. Our van didn't fit in the parking area, but the concierge helped me find a good (free) alternative location. The rooms were pleasant - renovated, but typical French hotel style. The concierge recommended an excellent restaurant for dinner, and we had probably our best value meal in the whole of our French holiday there.

“Not biker freindly”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 August 2011

I stayed at this hotel with 4 friends in may whilst on a motorbike trip. I booked secure parking for the motorbikes, however on arrival we were told motorbikes were not allowed in the garage. The solution to this by the hotel is parking outside to the rear of the hotel. All the bikes were parked in a space for one car. On booking out we were charged for 5 individual car parking spaces!

Room Tip: Triple room is vast, double is pokey and not enough room even for your bags!

Our friends bikers are welcome in our HOTEL.
We offer two solutionsde parking: either a garage or a parking lot. Both are monitored by video and private at the hotel.
If our garage is full, we offer parking!
For the price the parking has a 50% reduction for motorcycles and you get!
We are sorry that this question was not raised at the reception!

“Rude treatment; unreasonable charges”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 July 2011

I was placed at this hotel through a business contact and it seemed fine. The rooms had a clean but very inexpensive and impersonal renovation, including a luggage shelf in an open closet. While rummaging through my suitcase, I made the mistake of sitting on the shelf which instantly cracked in half. When I told the front desk the next morning, I was treated as though I was a barbarian who had never stayed in a hotel before, despite the fact that I had volunteered information about the accident. I then offered to pay and was charged $188 for a cheap piece of press board that one could buy at a home depot for $10. The overcharge is outrageous, but the worst part of this was being treated so rudely for what, frankly is an honest mistake. I've traveled all over the world, and internationally 6 times a year and I have never had an experience like this. Stay away!!

Room Tip: be careful as everything is terribly constructed

We have noticed the damage of a shelf that you have broken in one of our new rooms. Our shelves (20 mm thick) are made-to-measure by a professional and are intended to be used for clothes.
Given the situation you have proposed to repay the damage.

A professional has send you the invoice concerning the repair work.

Usually, our clients come to our hotel to rest... and more often than not they come back.

“Perfectly adequate French hotel - if you can find it!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 July 2011

We booked on line as we wanted to stay in central Dijon before going on to pick up a canal boat from nearby. After an 800 kilometre drive it would have had to have been pretty dire for us not to flop in it! The 800 kilometres were a doddle compared to navigating around the one-way system and the extensive roadworks for the new tramway system - it took us 50 mins from entering Dijon to actually get to park the car! The location was excellent, but you need a good map. The receptionist was charming and spoke excellent English. She recommended us the Brasserie des Halles for dinner, and it was very good. It was an old fashioned, basic, no-frills French hotel. The room and bathroom were perfectly adequate and clean and everything worked, but if you wanted glamour and luxury, try elsewhere! Breakfast was perfectly adequate, if a bit limited. Great location close to the heart of the beautiful old town.

“Room and bathroom simply too small”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 June 2011

I wanted to like this hotel. The location is great and the staff was friendly. However, the room (#409) and bathroom were just too small. In fact, you could not open the bathroom door completely, because it bumped up against the foot of the bed. The sink in the bathroom was not full sized. The shower was so narrow, I scraped my arm on the rather sharp edge of the plastic mini-shelf and bumped my elbow on the pipes. Bad design made things even more uncomfortable. There were no towel racks and while the two lights above the bed looked stylish, they were worthless for reading. When we mentioned the room size to the desk clerk, he told us that we had booked a standard room, and if we wanted more space, we should have got a superior one. So, unless you want to trip over your suitcases, hang you wet towels on the doorknobs and squint when you try to read in bed, choose another hotel.
