“Charming exterior and grounds”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 November 2011

Location: about a 30 min walk to city center but a pleasant one.
Rooms: we were in a family room which had a double bed & two twin beds. The walls were covered in fabric with foam underneath to appear like wallpaper. Our room was in the renovated stable on the grounds. Very large bathroom but only a tub available.
Service: very nice and amiable. Oddly no curtains on glass door or window.
Breakfast: skip it, 8 euros for a croissant, jam, yogurt, apple sauce, juice & coffee.
Internet: a problem in our room, had to go to lobby for access.

Room Tip: More enjoyable in summer and spring so you can enjoy the grounds and walk into town. Take advantage...

“Underrated Gem!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 October 2011

We stayed at Hotel Le Home in September '11 and loved it. The hotel is a mansion house with an adjacent barn converted into luxury rooms. The young manager is extremely friendly and helpful. The grounds of the hotel have charming sitting areas where we enjoyed a good bottle of wine near sunset. The room was very clean and quiet and the piece de resistance was the beautiful marble bathroom with a clawfoot tub. Breakfast could be delivered to the room or to the garden and can include fresh squeezed orange juice. The walk into the old center of Beaune took us only 8 minutes.

“Wonderful Hotel Good Price”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 October 2011

We only were able to stay one night, we wished we had more time. The rooms are small but comfortable. The upgrade rooms are worth the price. The grounds are nice. The hotel is a 15 minute walk to the center of Beaune. The additional breakfast was well worth the price. We hope to return soon!

“Clean Rooms & Fabulous Service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 October 2011

My family and I enjoyed a three-night stay in two rooms (in the main building) while exploring Beaune & the surrounding wine country and we loved it! The minute you pull up the driveway you feel like you are experiencing how the French people live. There is a nice courtyard area in which you can enjoy a glass of wine amongst new friends or they will even serve your breakfast out there on a nice day! I love that there was a friendly dog ready to welcome you to the house. And the owners were just as nice and helpful as could be! They gave us a lot of information about the surrounding areas and a discount to a nearby chateau.

The rooms were both plenty big and very beautifully decorated. The bed was a very large queen bed that was incredibly comfortable. The bathroom was neat and clean and had a large tub with a shower head. The tub didn't drain very well but was quickly fixed once we brought it to the attention of the owner. My only gripe would have been that it was a little hot and stuffy in the rooms. We were situated on the top floor so that could have made a slight difference but if it had been any hotter air conditioning would have been necessary for me - and I'm ALWAYS cold! My boyfriend and I stayed in room 22 and the window opened up to the back of the house so we didn't have any issues from road noise but I reckon it could be a bit noisier on the side or the front of the house. Nothing a little wine from the tours couldn't help!

I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a romantic place to base their wine touring of the Burgundy region!

Room Tip: Rooms in the main house are nicer than the annex. Ask for a room facing the car park as it tends to...

“Authentic and relaxing with real country character”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 October 2011

Don't be fooled by this country accommodation, beautifully furnished, impeccable gardens and a short stroll to the town centre. The owner is on hand to welcome you and help you to your room, nothing is too much as they provide lots of local information. Didn't stay around for breakfast but certainly smelled devine. Make full use of outdoor area for cheese and wine in the afternoon...
