Stayed here for 2 nights while exploring the burgundy wines of France. The friendly staff speaks English. The hotel is a little older and out of date, but very clean. I did not like the shower because there was no curtain, and you must hold the shower head by hand while bathing. There were no electrical outlets in the room except for one by the ceiling which already has the TV plugged into it. The is a private pay parking lot on site. The location was great for exploring the wine cellars of Beaune. The price was good.

Sadly, it was one of the worst hotel nights of my life... if you're staying in summer ensure that your room has air-conditioning. Although it is advertised as a feature of the hotel, not all single rooms have air-con. They were also unable to provide a fan. As my room bordered on the parking lot, it seemed unwise to leave the window open as any passer-by could climb in, but it turned out to be too hot not to do so. Ultimately I wet some towels and spent the night lying on these, mostly awake, hoping that the sight of me perspiring madly and largely undressed would scare off any would be intruders.

So, that said, the hotel was otherwise fine. Room small, but not tiny or cramped. TV had French channels only. Room and bathroom were clean so no problems there. Breakfast was provided and was a typical continental (rolls, croissant, jam, etc.) which was fine. Location is good, just outside the old city but about a 3m walk from the hotel into the old city itself. If you want convenient, this place is fine; if you want quaint old city hotel experience, this is not the place for you.

Ignoring the air-con issue, this hotel would be fine. As I was there in summer, I got caught out and had a horrible stay, but if you are not staying in summer or are able to confirm air-con, I'm sure the hotel is a good option in its price category.

excellent location, easy walking distance to centre of town loads of excellent restaurants near by. plenty of parking in the hotel. basic but clean and very quiet. you couldn't ask for more! and to top it off is next door to a cave and a good sized supermarket
