this lovely country style house turned hotel is very well situated , close to the historic center of Beaune. We had booked connecting rooms and we found ourselves in a cute very french decorated attic,. the main bedroom and the triple room were quite large ,under their wooden beams,and separated by a quaint bathroom. I liked the quietness of the rooms, the garden table setting for a late evening drink in the warm air of late summer in Bourgogne, the closeness to town and the friendliness of the staff.

Our experience with the Beaune Hotel was the low point of our vacation. The staff was rude, as was management. The hotel itself is located only a 5 minute walk from the central area of Beaune, however, the low quality of this hotel make it less than an ideal choice. The rooms are small and have not been updated in years (kind of run down). We stayed only one night here before moving to someplace more welcoming, cleaner, and nicer.

Our room was quite small (needed two beds in one-bed room) and the bathroom was small but everything was clean. Breakfast was more traditionally continental but more than adequate. Breads and croissants were excellent and coffee was brewed, not out of an automatic machine. Parking was in a barn-like structure at the back of the compound. Location was extremely close to the town center and, for the price, the hotel was more than satisfactory.

Although on a busy road this hotel was pleasantly quiet and relatively well appointed.
Our room with its en suite though small was clean and tidy and as it was closest to the garage was probably the quietest in the hotel.

Though quiet it was only a 10 minute walk into the town which is obviously well served by the surrounding wine region - and its money!
We went into town for a nice meal at the Grillardine restaurant though there were plenty of others to choose from.
Breakfast was a buffet selection which was plentiful and the staff very helpful.

Downside if there was one was the extra charge for car parking. Why not just be up front with the price of the room. Minor cripe as overall it was very good value
