My husband and I just returned from a 3 night stay at the Beaune Hotel. It's in a great location - a quick and easy 5 minute walk to the centre of Beaune (which is such a walkable town anyway). We had a small and basic but clean room on the second floor of the hotel with a shower. Next time, I'd try to get a room on the first floor -- some of those rooms have a small terrace. The linens, towels, amenities were basic, but were sufficient for our stay. For 66 euros a night, it was a great bargain. I'd recommend the Beaune Hotel for location and price. Also, we didn't have breakfast there - there are plenty of great small cafes and boulangeries in town.

My husband and I stayed at The Beaune Hotel for two nights in April. It's easy to find and offers secure parking which is great for Beaune as once you're there, you don't need a car. It's a short walk in to the main centre (5/10 minutes) along a main road.

The hotel has two types of rooms - we were given one of the rooms on the first floor which was nicely decorated with a good sized bathroom. It had large windows which opened on to the courtyard and you definitely needed them open as it was very hot, even at night. The other rooms are on the ground floor and have small patios with chairs and tables - they must have been more expensive but in hot, sunny weather would be a great choice.

Breakfast is basic but perfectly adequate - it's not rushed and there's plenty of food/coffee.

The reception staff were all really helpful and we felt this hotel was a good little find in a very touristy and expensive town.

The room we had was upstairs with no lift or airconditioning, the lack of air conditioning meant having to leave the window open on a hot summer night which allowed in some noise from the railway. The room however was recently re-decorated and looked lovely. The bathroom was fine. The room was a little cramped for three, the other triple accross the hallway was the same size.
The courtyard was a major bonus, we enjoyed a bottle of wine and a chat with fellow customers during the gorgeous evenings.
The walk into town was not strenous, only 5-10 minutes to the heart of the old town, however it is a very busy road, the sidewalks are very narrow and for the time we were there two spots were closed off and you had to walk on the road which was an issue with children.
The hotel provides secure undercover parking at a fee of 5 euros, which I thought was reasonable. The breakfast was fine. The owners/staff were friendly and fairly helpful.
This hotel certainly was one of the cheaper options close to the old town, there was another 2 star a few doors up the street closer to town but it was actually a few more Euros a night.

If you want to stay close to Beaune (5 min walk) and not pay too much, this average hotel will do. The room furnishings were adequate. Breakfast was so-so (we think the coffee was microwaved). It is located across the street from car dealerships, although they do have a nice courtyard with tables and chairs. Request a shower if you do not want just a bath tub.
