We stayed here two nights in the family suite. Our room was large (but it was a suite), the beds were fine and the room was clean. The staff was friendly and spoke English well. I would not recommend the breakfast, however, which was pretty lean with no fruit. (The restaurant is supposed to be good but we did not dine there.) The location can't be beat if you want to be near the Hospice, nice restaurants/bars and the Saturday market, although it's a bit noisy.

I stayed here recently when I was attending the music festival that is held in Beaune every July. I had stayed in another hotel previously in Beaune and been sorely disappointed. This however was really everything I could have wanted.

I had a single room which was very comfortable and clean. It was to the rear of the hotel and so was very quiet - that said Beaune is a very peaceful town anyway!

The breakfast was good. I only had it once though because it was possible to get a coffee, croissant and tartine on the square for less.

The staff was extremely helpful - to the point the boss gave me and another guest a lift to the train station when we were leaving.

I definitely would be back here and would not hesitate to recommend it!

Poor room that needs serious refurbishment: chemical toilets very noisy; 1900 plumbing barely enough pressure to have a shower; lack of cleanliness the room was smelly; plain b'fasts and expensive restaurant very mediocre quality. In a word: avoid it. The only plus: central location.

My husband and I stayed at l'Hotel Central in Beaune for 2 nights during our cycling trip. From the moment we stepped in, we were treated like friends. The staff immediately concerned themselves with securing our bikes in the garage for the night. We needed some minor repairs to the bikes on Sunday morning. As everyone knows, everything is closed in France on Sunday. The hotel owner didn't let that stop him. He called a friend who owns a bike rental shop who, in turn, called his brother who owns a bike repair shop. The brother opened his shop for us and fixed our bikes. Wow. Lionel, the owner of the hotel always seemed to be around ready to provide personal attention or just have a chat. I'm French, so the conversation was easy but he also spoke English to my husband. The room was simple but clean and we slept very well. The petit-déjeuner was perfect with everything we needed to sustain us during our ride. It was really fun to be right in the middle of town in the old part of the city. I recommend this hotel for the location, the value, the cleanliness and the friendly staff...and the good night sleep.
