We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this hotel. The rooms and bed were very comfortable and we had a beautiful view. The entire hotel was exceptionally clean and our hostess Chantal was charming, friendly and could not have been more helpful.

For the past four years my wife and I have been visiting this charming French hotel situated at Port Solidor, overlooking the picturesque La Rance estuary and within close walking distance of St. Malo.
Chantal and Thierry are a delightful couple whose primary aim is to ensure that their guests enjoy a most memorable time at the hotel. The rooms are modern and tastefully decorated and the breakfast area has lovely views of the sea.The breakfasts are varied and of a high standard. There are a number of excellent local restaurants nearby which are definitely worth visiting.
The La Rance hotel is an ideal base to visit such historic places as Mont St. Michel, Dinan and Dinard - take the local bus and make a "day of it"!! - (and of course St. Malo)
Finally, one word aptly describes this hotel - "magnifique"!!

A very friendly welcome awaited us at this last-minute find - and how glad we were that we found it. It is on the Quai Sebastopol, outside the walls in a peaceful quartier of the town, overlooking the estuary. Rooms are light, modern and tastefully decorated; rates reasonable (70 euros the night); breakfast selection good.
Tip: Glad of the GPS to get us there!

We have passed through St Malo many times when using the ferry to get to our "Maison de Vacances" in the Vendée and thought on this occasion we would stay for a few days to explore this lovely part of France. Not only did the area exceed our expectations but La Rance Hotel was the icing on the cake. We were met by Chantal who not only provided tea and biscuits on arrival, she insisted on taking our heavy case up to our room (which was a very high standard compared to many). This must be one of the best small hotels we have stayed in with such a friendly and helpful couple running it. Nothing was too much trouble. We will certainly return, and next time, for a much longer period. Chantal and Thierry, we thank you for making our stay so pleasant and congratulate you on making La Rance a wonderful experience.
