This hotel is hard to review. Although down a quiet street it is in a very good location. The room was very good, very nice shower room. The thing about this hotel is that it just feels like a place to stay and nothing else. It has a much higher star rating than other hotels as the quality of the rooms is very good, but I just felt it lacked character. Im not saying you shouldnt stay there but even though the room was nice I personally wouldnt stay there again. Its down a quiet street, although thats not a major problem as it is very central a big plus. I didnt like the reception area, there was no nice bar or food area at the front, only serves breakfast...hotels in the square near by might not be quite as nice like Chateubriand, but that hotel has more character and there seems to be a lot more happening there. Its also a lot cheaper. You pay more for Cite because of the rooms but I would prefer somewhere where you see people walking by, or where you have a terrace out the front or at least a restaurtant at the front of the hotel, just to give it more character. They also tried to charge me extra for the room when I went to leave even though i had paid fully upfront, they basically undercharged me and there was a balance showing. They then tried to say I had just paid I had paidf over 95% of the amount so that was hardly a deposit! I refused to pay and they seemed ok about it, but now Im going to have to keep a close eye on my cc. They also didnt provide proper tea and coffee making facilities, I had to ask for it and they didnt seem that happy and then wouldnt provide milk..Overall it is a nice hotel in the rooms and a very good location so dont hesitate to book if you want. The people were friendly. I just felt it lacked character and it felt isolated. Also someone mentioned it was a 4*...its definately not a 4 star hotel. I also wouldnt bother with getting breakfast there, its expensive and theres a lovely square near by with places with terraces outside etc.
