We got to this hotel absolutely wet through after the wettest week ever in France. We had just done 600 miles in torrential rain. This was absolutely wonderful. The staff were fantastic and spoke fluent English, there was food and drink available all night. They only had a family room available so it was quite expensive for 2 people (who had intended on doing a camping holiday) about 115 eur for one night with breakfast. The room was huge, clean, wonderful! The breakfast the next day was brilliant for both a vegetarian (me) and a person who eats things that have had a mother and eyelashes (himself). The bed was huge and comfy. To get the best out of this hotel I recommend two nights camping beforehand, a long bike trip in the pouring down rain and an argument. It was just sheer luxury! I wasn't happy when I realised I had left my shampoo and conditioner at the campsite and had to use the generic body/hair wash they provide but do you know what? My hair looked better after that than any amout of products (probably only good if you have curly hair and generally low expectations of hair products anyway).
