My wife and I stayed at Hotel Printania one night in May during a month long visit to France. It is located on a quiet street overlooking the bay, just outside the main part of Dinard. The hotel is quite interesting, built in the 1920s and filled with Breton art and crafts, including a whole collection of carved wooden bed headboards. We arrived without reservation but the woman at reception was very welcoming and helpful. She gave us a room with a view of the bay for 124 Euros. Breakfast was extra (19 Euros for two). Parking was on the street. Our room was fairly good sized and beautifully furnished with antiques. It was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was small but modern and efficient. There was Wifi in our room. We had an excellent dinner that night in the dining room. A very happy experience.

Really surprised at the rate for this 2* Hotel (although some signs say it is 3* I think it is officially a 2* though it should be 3*) 65 Euros per night per room (facing the fairly quiet road) is excellent value. The hotel is simple but it is a great base, very close to Dinard's main beach right on a small harbour, the common / public rooms have direct sea views and you get a sea view room for about 100 euros. It is difficult to find fault with the hotel for the rate. The service is great, and very surprising, I find service in France very hit and miss from indifferent to down right rude, here the service was excellent, friendly and jovial. Engish is spoken but they are happy to deal with poor french! the room was small, tiny showerroom which had seen better days - but perfectly acceptable for the money, huge window, no T/C making facilities - but large flat screen TV. Clean and tidy. Faces the road but surprisingly super sunny and quiet road seemingly little used. All in all an excellent hotel for the money.

We had a lovely stay in this beautiful hotel. Just as well we didnt read some of the reviews before we went (we just happened on the place).
The receptionist was delightful, very warm and helpful. The room was beautifully furnished. The breakfast area was nothing short of stunning and the view from both the room and the breakfast area was to die for.
We woke up to see a beautiful sunrise which just set us up for the day.
The one area we did feel let it down was the restaurant experience. Nothing really bad about it, just didnt match up to the rest of it. Something was lacking.
Maybe someone has been reading reviews from the past and has acted accordingly but we would certainly recommend this one.

I have just returned from four nights at the Hotel Printania. We chose the hotel based on a recommendation from a friend, and were prepared to overlook some of the more negative reviews on this and other websites. We certainly should not have done so.

Our party of four had booked one room with a sea view (more expensive) and one without. But, on arrival, we were shown by a young woman to two rooms without a sea view. We pointed out this failure on their part, and showed them our booking confirmation clearly indicating one room with a sea view. We spoke reasonable French so were able to insist that we should speak to the manager - a woman who turned out to be unapologetic, charmless and almost smug in her unwillingness to help. We were able, eventually, to secure a room with a view for the final three nights, and, in fairness, the view was lovely. However, any refund for the first night would have to be secured from the agent. The manager did not express any regret, nor did she offer anything in compensation - not even a drink! I have been staying in hotels in France for over twenty years and have never come across such a disagreeable individual. I can, however, assure you that everybody else we met in Dinard was delightful.

If you expect to be given what you have paid for, do not go to the Printania. I got the distinct impression that the manager was well accustomed to receiving complaints from guests and was well rehearsed in ignoring them, given that she already has their money and any refund would be granted by the agent and not her. Extremely unimpressive.
