Stayed at this hotel for the third time this weekend. You couldn’t really ask for a nicer setting right by the river in the “old” port. For a chain hotel, we have always received a very pleasant welcome from the reception staff and this time was no exception. They also made sure I was aware of the current fuel problems and advised me to avoid the larger towns on Saturday to avoid getting caught up in any protest marches which I thought was good of them. Our room was quiet and of the standard size. Both the room and bathroom were spotless. Although we didn’t eat there in the evening, it was good to see the restaurant was well used on both nights so I can only assume it was good. The big improvement was the breakfast which was certainly was of a high standard with a good variety on the buffet and nice strong coffee. The only negative is that being in the port means the long walk up the very steep hill to get into town. For us, its 10 minutes of good and much needed exercise. For others during the you can get the bus whereas in the evening you will need to take the car. A great place to stay.

Stayed for one night but could have stayed longer. We were lucky enough to have hot sunshine in late September and sunbathed by the swimming pool for an hour or two. We did a very pleasant boat trip from the quay opposite the hotel and had a lovely seafood lunch sitting at a table by the river at a restaurant also on the opposite bank. Our room was quite adequate and as we had asked for a balcony room it had a nice little furnished balcony overlooking the pool. The jacuzzi room was a good bonus - we used it in the evening when we had it to ourselves and the lighting and mood music were very romantic! Ask for robes at reception.

Looking for a hotel late afternoon on a Sunday and we happened across the Best Western and were too tired to look elsewhere. The receptionist was exceptionally helpful and pleasant even though she seemed to be juggling phones and people. Big tick for her and she deserves a pay rise! Our room was well lived in but adequate and thankfully it wasn't too hot as there was no air-conditioning. It was very nice to walk around the port and up to the old town and then back for dinner in one of the many nicely situated port restaurants. A good night' sleep and a pleasant stay although you could get better value for money elsewhere. If a Best Western is your style then you won't be disappointed.

Been to Dinan several times but never actually stayed the night. Primarily I was looking for a hotel with parking because of the car I was driving. Although the car park is for hotel patrons only and is out of sight at the back of the hotel it is not secure. The hotel itself is fine - the rooms are a good size, clean and comfortable. The location by the river is wonderful and provided you can cope with a very steep walk into the main town could not be bettered.
