We visit Dinan every year and stay at the best western every time. Our holiday would not be the same if we stayed anywhere else. We love the location next to the river and the breakfast is brilliant - so much to choose from. The fact that it has parking is an added bonus. Can't wait to go back.

We stayed here at the end of a three week holiday in France and Switzerland. The booking was made after searching the internet for hotels around St Malo and finding a weekend deal for half board. The hotel is in a perfect location on the Rance and has been recently refurbished.
Rooms are very nice with good bathrooms and excellent beds. The restaurant serves local 'delicacies' and a range of reasonably priced meals. Quality was good although alcohol etc is pricey.
Staff are very friendly and while we were there there was an English girl on reception so there were no language problems.

The deal we had was exceptional value but even at full price it is worth considering this hotel.

Stayed Aug 2011 for 4 nights. Our room, on ground floor, looked out over the pool which was quite small. The carpet was shabby but the room was reasonably clean. We ate in the restaurant only once, for dinner, and found it to be expensive for average quality food. That said, it is beautifully situated right on the river/port; it's a good, steep walk up the cobbled pedestrian street into Dinan which is v picturesque. The frontdesk staff (Marie, in particular) were very helpful and spoke excellent English; not so the barstaff who were reluctant to provide ice in order to chill our wine in the room!

Nice hotel in the quiet port. Service was not very good as the number of staff had obviously been reduced. Food not very good, we found and overpriced.
