The other reviews are very fair and say it all, really. We found this on the Logis de France website, and found it excellent value and fully up to the standards you invariably seem to get with Logis.
The location is very central, and so the private car park (even at an extra charge) is a real bonus, though it is not quite next to the hotel. It is worth reserving in advance.
The building dates from the early 1900s, and whilst not immaculate, it has been quite tastefully modernised, with some imaginative touches. Our bedroom was large, and our bathroom nearly as large. It certainly did not lack charm and character! Our room also had a jacuzzi, but no operating instructions, with the result that a minor flood was only narrowly averted!
Food and service in the restaurant were both impeccable. The clientele is of (let's say) a certain age, but the young owner/manager and staff certainly know how to look after them, and indeed all of their guests, with genuine warmth. The breakfast was one of the best we had in France.
The privately owned hotel is alive and well in France. Do check out this unique example, if you're ready to succumb to its quaint charms!
