I stayed at the Premiere Classe for one night as I was driving from Spain back to the UK. The receptionist was very friendly & helpful which was great. However the hotel itself was utterly awful! The rooms were very dark, almost dungeon-like. There was a foul smell in the room & the room itself was dirty. The bathroom however was clean which was surprising considering the appalling state of the room. Despite being a non-smoking room our room smelt so strongly of cigarettes; I actually felt like a smoker when I woke up the next morning (not good for asthmatics like myself). The bedding wasn't clean & also smelt very strongly of cigarette smoke/ Luckily we had our own blanket & some beach towels lay over the bed. The room didn't feel safe as the rooms lead directly outside which left us feeling that anyone could enter the hotel grounds & try to get in the room. After 9pm there is no hotel staff of even security on the grounds. You are provided with emergency telephone numbers but unless you have a mobile phone you have no way of contacting these numbers if needs be. To make matters worse the door our our hotel room didn't feel very secure so we therefore used our luggage to barricade the door! I appreciate the fact that this is a budget hotel but it isn't even fit for stray animals to sleep in let alone human beings. It was more like staying in a back-packing hostel in Thailand!!!!
