I was very disappointed with the hotel after the pictures and the feedback of locals was so great.

On arrival, I checked in; was given my keys. Not asked whether or not I wanted a wake up call, newspaper or any assistance with my luggage! I was not even given any directions to my room! Most annoying!

I had to request a wake up call on the Wednesday morning and I got my colleague to ask who speaks french for a wake up call at 7am - it woke me up at 6am!

There were limited staff on duty through out the day; and at times waited approx 10 minutes to be served both at Reception and at the Bar! When I was awaiting at the bar for about 15 minutes one time; I asked the young lady at Reception for a drink. She huffed and puffed - and greeted me with a 'what do you want'. I asked her for a glass of sauvignon blanc and she gave me rose; when I said that was incorrect; she puired the correct one and chucked it at me! Not very good!

There was a young gentleman who worked in the Restaurant, an older lady on Reception and the Night Porter - all these were fantastic; spoke English, had a laugh - it was good, but they were let down by the conduct of other members of staff.

I arrived back late on Wednesday evening from my business meeting and asked the person behind Reception for a Jack Daniels and Coke; he said that the bar is closed and that he can't serve me because he didnt have the keys; despite previously being served the night before! He was very rude, his uniform was scruffy and could not speak English!

I had the impression that I was doing them a favour in staying there and they often forgot who the guests actusally were!! I don't think they like English at all.

The room was small; but was very clean (best part of the hotel!). How ever on arrival, there were several power sockets which did not work. When reporting this to Reception; it took 2 days to fix!

I am a hotel Manager of a luxury property in England and I may be picky but after the big hype of the fantastic French service, I was bitterly disappointed!

I will not recommend.

Staff were rude and unfriendly, including the Manager who clearly felt he was doing us a favour by allowing us to stay in his hotel. I will never use this chain again.

room is ok, I have seen much better for the price, but it is comfortable and looks clean. The problem comes from the air conditioner, it was OFF but there was an awful noise of water flow, present all the time, keeping me awake most of the night.
A terrible experience... I was so angry in the morning... people from the hotel told me that there are problems with air conditioning in the particular room (205), but I'm not sure if it's true or not.
About the fitness corner, the equipments are a bit ridiculous because there only a few. The sauna is very small, only 2 or 3 people at the time, and you have to ask for some laundry.
I asked a large bed for 2 people, but I got 2 beds joint, not attached. not convenient.

I do not recommend this hotel, may be that the "mercure" nearby is better.
