It ain't the Ritz!
We were unexpectedly stranded at the Perigueux train station for 24 hours, and checked in to the hotel at 10 pm after checking out the other nearby options. Don't waste your time...they're all unacceptable.
It IS true that it was musty smelling, and the WiFi was SLOOOOW...but the staff was beyond helpful (we were trying to find the person who failed to meet our train, with only her name....and succeeded with the help of Celine, the daytime receptionist), the bed was comfortable and clean, and the bathroom was spotless. There was even shampoo and plenty of fluffy towels. After we checked out, they were nice enough to keep our bags for us while we spent the day investigating the town, and were also great about letting us use the WiFi in the lobby for our laptops.
We did find our missing greeter (mistaken date), and I told the receptionist that I was going to write something nice about their service in Trip Advisor. She'd never heard of it:)
