We stayed at the Palmeraie with a group of people supporting a horse in a competition nearby. The location was excellent. The staff could not have been more helpful. The reservations were constantly changing and they managed to accomodate us all. The rooms are spacious and clean with a large bathroom seperate loo and dressing area. The food was good but the restaurant is not open on Sat and Sun evenings. Breakfast is buffet style with a good selection....however I would never advise full English in a French hotel...when in Rome!!!! Remember breakfast is not included and is quite pricey ...so make the most of it. The staff are excellent but at breakfast the plates etc were slow to be replenished. Overall a very enjoyable stay and we will return.

We stayed here with a group of friends when in town for the nearby horse trials, and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful - especially the lady at reception, who couldn't have been more helpful.
If the excellent steak that I enjoyed in our room is anything to go by, the food is also very good.
The hotel was in a peaceful location although easily accessible from the motorway, and had plenty of parking space.
I would definitely use this hotel again if we ever return to the area.

Drove to Pau from Perpignan mainly on the D117, a highly recommended route with wonderful scenery, beautiful small towns and Cathar castles. we will return but not to the Palmeraie! We chose this as an overnight stop on route to Northern Spain and it was a good location and easy to find just off the E80.
A reasonable greeting, the room was gloomy,hot and the aircon did not work. We asked for something to be done about the aircon and got a shrug of the shoulders. Asked for a different room and was told there were no alternative rooms available. This was strange as there appeared to be only two or three other people staying at the hotel. So we had to stay where we were. The room was not particularly clean, I found the cut up pieces of someones credit card on the floor.
Had a beer, the most expensive I had had in France by a country mile, euro 7.50, my wife suggested I should have asked the price before ordering, I did not reply. Dinner was Ok and breakfast was poor. Had a poor nights sleep, no aircon and as the room was on the ground floor could not open the window because of noise from passing traffic.
Parking was free but not secure.
I am sure there are much better places to stay in Pau.

We enjoyed this hotel a lot. It was modern with a large room, good bed, cool high tech window shade, and air conditioning!!

U.S. travelers who complain about small rooms in Europe, poor parking, no AC would be right at home here. This hotel would compete well if it were in the USA.

Desk staff helpful but limited English.

This had the feel of a business/meeting hotels altho we were there on a Friday so there were no meetings.

Room, bath room, everything very clean and nice.

Breakfast here was a bargain at 9.00 Euros each and the best spread we had on the trip.
