This hotel has everything going for it - great location and friendly and helpful staff. However, the accommodation is just not up to scratch. It has one or two quite good rooms (these are featured on the website) , but the rest have tired decor and are badly lit and very poky. It looks like the rooms are being renovated one by one, or even bit by bit. We stayed in one room where the bathroom was absolutely pristine with excellent lighting, but where the room itself had worn carpets, peeling wallpaper and broken doors. This was classified as a superior room! The others we saw were very small and dark with very old-fashioned furnishings and bathroom fittings.
There is also a problem with parking. The hotel has some parking spaces in a private courtyard, shared with a number of businesses and residents of nearby apartments. It is practically impossible to park if returning in the evening and the residents can get very shirty if you take one of their places...........
