We stayed here for a week in August. The owners and staff were really charming and helpful. It was great having the pool which we sometimes had to ourselves, and it was the perfect place to relax with a chilled beer after a morning sightseeing.
Although breakfast was extra it was very substantial and you can always get a simpler breakfast from the cafes in the village. It was also lovely to return from the many family run restaurants after dinner to a nightcap drink from the bar and sit by the illuminated pool to wind down.
The rooms were well presented and beds comfortable. There is a tv in the room and plenty of parking. No mini bar in case that is important to you.
The only thing missing would have been some draws for clothes but there is some shelving in the wardrobe.
Would definitely go back if I was in the dordogne again.

90 euros was about right for this hotel in comparison with others on this trip . . . no view, no fridge, but we were renting a room. Front office staff fine, bed was comfy. The town's a bit naff, and shuts up early. Didnt use the pool but it looked well

Lovely owners, super rooms and grounds. Fabulous pool all located in Les Eyzies town. Recommended.

“Nice, quiet family hotel - and we loved the pool”

The hotel is charming, clean and nicely situated. We had a family Room - the room was not very big - and the size is the only reason we do not give 5 Stars to the hotel. The service were good - everybody was nice and helpfull. And the pool were lovely. We can highly recommend the hotel.

“Just fine”
Hotel des Roches was a fine place to stay as a base for exploring the Perigord. The swimming pool is lovely and the breakfasts are good. The room I had was a kind of dark and somewhat blah, but otherwise clean. Didn't spend much time in it anyway!
The food of the region is incredible...lots of great restaurants in town.
