We stayed at this hotel on our first visit to Biarritz. It was a lovely surprise as it is a building that used to house the physician of Napolean. It is decorated with style and grace and has lovely appointments. Our room was decorated with taste and was appealing to the eye. The hotel serves breakfast, but not dinner. This is not a problem as it is only 300 meters to the beaches of the "Coast of the Basques" and the "Port Vieux" where there are numerous restaurants, cafes and bars. The views along the coastal path are stunning and Biarritz is alive with a genteel and vibrant atmophere. No parking, however it can be found close by.
Staff friendly and helpful as well. Would certainly return again. Biarritz is now a prime surfing destination as Deborah Kerr's husband introduced the sport in 1955.
Room Tip: Upstairs room have balconies and downstairs room have private terraces.
