“Noisy room in weekend”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 April 2007

Noisy room during the night, right at the corner of a big square with lots of shouting, I suppose there were pubs or discos nearby and it was a transit zone, it happened Friday and Saturday. Also the room was a bit too warmed up for sleeping and the lights were unsuitable for reading. Need more security if I have to leave the room key at the desk and there is nobody around to check, the front door has a code after 7pm, one needs to know all free emergency phone numbers just in case!.
Positives: good location, few rooms, nice attendants, clean and with a good bathroom.

“Beautiful Biarritz”

We stayed in Le Petit Hotel for 7 nights & loved it.
The hotel is small with about 12 rooms but the owners are really lovely, very friendly & helpful.
We asked for room no. 2 as suggested by other reviewers to this site & were delighted with it. Just across the landing from our room was a water cooler which was also very handy.
The bed was a bit low down on the ground, but apart from that the room was fine, clean & adequate, the towels were changed every day.
One tip though- we were supplied with plastic cups for the complimentary coffee in the room, so you may want to bring your own mug/cup from home!
The hotel is so central you can step out onto the little balcony & check the time on the town hall! (this is were most of the buses depart) You can also hear the waves crashing on the rocks & the beach which is just around the corner. A great location as you were never far from any part of the town.
There are so many cafes & resturants to chose from, we only went into the one next door "The Player" the night before we left, but it was so good we went the next day also for lunch, just before we got the bus to the airport. We had some time to spare between checking out of our rooms & departing for the airport & we were able to leave our cases in the hotel lobby which was very handy.
If you are looking for a budget hotel, I would definitly recommend Le Petit Hotel.

“minute friendly hotel”

Hi spent 2 lovely days in biarritz and adored it. Hotel is very small but in a great location, round the corner from the sea front, middle of town, great shops, and a lovely restaurant serving wholesome food at good prices on the opposite corner. Alex, the owner is really friendly and willing to give lots of info on town. Rooms are adequate, could do with makeover but clean and comfortable. Bathroom en suite is small and shower erratic but plenty of hot water. Breakfast is extra and ordered day before. One can have it in tiny lobby or in room. Coffee good but i was happier to go around the corner for breakfast for more atmosphere. I stayed in room 2 which has balcony, view of wall opposite!. Anybody going to Biarritz for surfing couldnt be in better location. Compared to a comfortable B&B in Ireland I found it an expensive small hotel but not by french standards. Would defnitely recommend a visit to Biarritz. Beautiful town, friendly people, great market at Les Halles and great shops.

“Small but large value for money!”

This is a small hotel with a big heart!! We stayed two nights (a week apart) in this hotel and can thoroughly recommend it for those looking for value for money.

It is run on a very personal basis, nothing is too much trouble for the owners and whilst it is not 4 star rating you get 4 star attention.

“excellent & friendly”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 September 2006

The location is great, right near the beach and close to food & drink. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the hotel was clean and cosey. It can be difficult to find if you're in the car as you cannot park directly outside without a pass to get on to the street. The hotel can lend you one if you need to unload bags / surf boards etc. It can be noisey if you go to bed early as there is a bar just outside but it wasn't a problem for us.
Highly recommended and we'll be staying there again soon. Biarritz is a great place to visit.....
