My wife and I stayed in this recently updated hotel for two nights. We would have liked to stay even longer but they were already booked.
We had stopped to check out Biarritz on our way to Spain, not quite sure that we were going to spend the night. We were wandering around the center of town and had just come out of the central marketplace "Les Halles de Biarritz" and came across Hotel de Silhouette. It appeared to be an old manor that had been converted into a hotel. We went in and asked to see a couple of rooms. They were immediately to our liking. Modern, good size rooms decorated with taste. We chose a room with a view of the ocean in the distance overlooking the beautiful garden and terrace.
After a couple of hours of lounging in our room and checking out the neighborhood, we decided to stay a second night. The hotel is in the heart of old Biarritz within walking distance to the beaches, sites, shopping and great restaurants.
The hotel staff is extremely helpful and pleasant. They provided good advice about eateries and even called ahead to San Sebastian to make a hotel reservation for us the next night.
The overall experience was first class. A warm inviting atmosphere...the next time we are in Biarritz you know where to find us.
