We spent two nights here in late July. The weather was cool and that was a good thing, because the room smelled heavily of smoke and we needed to keep the window open for ventilation. Reserved the triple room, and sent several emails asking what the bed accommodations would be - these emails were not answered. We had three single beds. The jacuzzi tub worked for only three minutes at a time, and then shut off and would not re-start. For the most part I was disappointed in the room. To be fair, I did not report the jacuzzi until we checked out, since we were only there two nights and didn't to deal with a maintenance issue.
the triple room afforded us more room than some of the others i saw while walking down the hall. The washroom/tub area is separate from the commode area, which is nice for privacy while bathing. There was also a full shower in the tub, so showering was a pleasant experience.
The service was courteous and the staff was fluent in English, which is a great help. The restaurant/bar at the hotel served a full american/english breakfast buffet. They made a point of mentioning that the breakfast buffet was available each morning, but did not mention it was not complementary - we were surprised to be charged for our breakfasts upon our departure.
The hotel provided robes and slippers for guests, and the location is right in the heart of the strand - walking distance to the beach, the boardwalk and the shops - there was a good-sized mini-bar refrigerator and a flat-screen tv - hotel also provided free wifi service for the internet.
there were only a few (maybe 8-10) free parking spaces in the back of the hotel, and you have to ring to be let in. If you are not lucky enough to grab one of these spots, you have to pay $15 euros per day for the off the street parking.
