Everything about our room was small – the room itself, the bed, the TV and the ensuite bathroom, which required a lot of dexterity to use without bumping into things.

As others have mentioned, interior soundproofing is not a strength of this hotel, although the double glazed window did a good job at keeping any exterior noise at bay.

However, the room was clean, the ceiling fan did a good job at keeping things cool, and the free high speed wi-fi allowed us to catch up on correspondence. The location is excellent, only a minute or so from the Vieux Port, whilst the price was also good, in a town of few bargains.

Whilst it was fine for our overnight stop en route to Paris, we’d probably look for something a little larger for a longer stay.

The Argi Eder was by far the cheapest hotel we could find in Biarritz and we booked it on that basis not expecting too much. If you go in with that attitude you won't be disappointed! The staff are friendly but reception closes at 7. The room was OK, tv didn't work very well but that's not an issue really and the shower was slightly tempremental! The hotel is noisy when the cleaners are in or other people take showers but there are plenty of lovely bars to put you in a coma so it didn't really bother us.

On the plus side, it's a good location, just around the corner from the market and minutes to the beach.
On the down side, the road outside is quite busy and traffic noise was a problem, the walls and floors are very thin, we had what sounded like a dozen people practising river dance until 3 in the morning in the room above.
Beware rip off taxis - we paid 8 euro from the airport to the hotel, but were stung for 13 euro for the return trip - its 3km for feck sake !! the driver wanted extra for "The luggage" which were two overnight bags.

Pefrectly adequate budget hotel in a good location. Plenty of street parking which is free outside the peak season
