“Every small detail taken care of providing us with a five star memories!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 July 2010

We arrived with three children under 10 years old as part of our extended family group. We found we had arrived in paradise. The bedrooms were amazing (beds huge and really comfortable), bathrooms with free standing baths and massive rainfall showers (wet room style). In the guests kitchen was everything you could ask for - a proper commercial expresso machine and grinder which delighted my husband, cordials of lavender, raspberry, cherry, hazlenut, etc etc which delighted everyone and on top of this the chateau has play areas of all kinds (including the lovely swimming pool) which delighted my children. I didn't have to think about a single meal as all was provided for and delicious and then it was magically cleared away too. Even trays with water arrived at the pool. We would love to go back very soon.

I was fortunate to be the father of the bride for a wedding party in late June in this blissful setting. Guests had flown in from all over the world and all were amazed by the beauty of this chateau for a wedding. The setting does achieve the perfect balance of hotel service yet freedom expected in a family home. The huge bedrooms with four poster beds and giant bathrooms are sheer luxury. Anna and all the staff are to be lauded. A wedding is a very emotional time and a calm, professional and dedicated staff are an imperative and they did not fail. The food was so very yummy and varied even down to the wonderful barbecue on the day after the wedding with all food cooked over glowing seasoned vines.

The wedding ceremony took place on the lawn and the bride walked up an aisle of flower petals. The barn served well for the subsequent reception with one of the best and most versatile groups playing until midnight before the disco started.

Hopefully you are only married once and for a truly unforgettable occasion I couldnt advise this place strongly enough ..... it really did match the five star rating it has on trip advisor.

“Best of both worlds”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 June 2010

Having used trip advisor for many years this is the first time that I've taken the time to add a review, and this all down to how incredible my stay at Chateau Riguad was! It's an unquestionably stunning property with 9 huge double bedrooms that was hired by a group of friends for the week. But what really sets this property apart is the relaxed atmosphere that the owners Anna and Andrew have managed to create. You get all the benefits of staying in hotel - beds made, laundry, incredible food etc.. but while they're always on hand for advice (or a drink!), you are left to 'live' in tis amazing property as though it's your own home.

I can't recommend it highly enough!!

“Authentic French Ambience and a step back into the 12th Century Elegan”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 June 2010

We were fortunate enough to attend a wedding at Chateau Rigaud in May of this year and had a magical weekend at one of the most beautiful Chateaux that France has to offer. The owners have done a commendable job renovating this truly beautiful chateau to a luxurious property with all the necessary modern features but maintaining all the original features of 12th century France.
The food was amazing, the hospitality was congenial and the whole experience was unforgettable.

“Exceeded all Expectations”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 May 2010

We have recently enjoyed a fantastic 4 day stay at Rigaud for our daughter’s wedding. It was 12 months in the planning and our expectations were high. We could not have asked for more. The food, the wine, the cremant, canapés etc etc were phenomenal. Of course the chateau is beautiful with sumptuous furnishings, luxurious bathrooms and the comfiest marshmallow like beds. The place really does feel like your home for the time you are there. The wedding ceremony took place on the lawn, followed by canapés on the terrace where we were serenaded by strolling musicians. The wedding reception was held in the barn which was beautifully decorated. When the sun had gone down the grounds were lit by candlelight and there were chandeliers hanging in the trees. It looked so magical! Anna and her staff are amazing, everything is executed to the highest standard. There cannot be a more perfect place to be married surrounded by you friends and family. Highly recommended.
