Positioned near everything, clean (a bit 'dusty' atmosphere but fits perfectly), kind personnel. Will come back for sure.

We got a 5 person family room at this hotel at short notice for 135 euro, which is definetely a great price in Bordeaux, considering the absolute fabulous location right at Place de la Comedienne. But, the aircon didn't work, and the beds aren't that great at this old style hotel. Further the breakfast is absolutely not worth the money.

It is - for obvious reasons - recommended in the Rough Guide and is a great hotel for a budget/medium budget 1 night stay in Bordeaux. Nothing more and nothing less.

But I'd rather stay here than at one of the many hotels at the edge of town.

As everyone has said the location can't be bettered and the staff were friendly, efficient and spoke good english.
Our room was on the 4th floor and the view was of a brick wall but the air conditioing worked which was a blessing as it was 35 degrees in the daytime! The decor was very dated with an old polystyrene tile ceiling and wooden picture rail but the bed was comfortable, the room was spacious enough and kept clean. The lift is tiny as in all these old buildings but all in all not bad for a 3 star.
Breakfast is now 1 Euro cheaper at the cafe outside.

We stayed at Hotel des 4 soeurs only for 1 night (fortunately !) this Easter. The hotel is located in the hearth of the town, near the "Grand Theatre" and Place de Quiconces. Great position ! but... The hotel is old and if you are not lucky, like us I think, your room will be very little so little that the double bed lean against the wall , with old and poor furniture, dark and badly enlighted. Reception staff is friendly and the breakfast correctly priced. If you wish to stay here, check first carefully what kind of room you'll have !! (considering that rooms very different in position, largeness and view have the same price)
